Airlines, travelers can take steps to limit risk of flying

Air travel means spending time in security lines and airport terminals, which puts you into close contact with other people. As travel slowly recovers, planes are becoming more crowded, which means you will likely sit close to other people, often for hours, which raises your risk.

Forget Private Islands. You Can Have an Entire Archipelago All to Yourself This Winter — Robb Report

Plan ahead for your winter escape with a buy-out of Panama’s 14-island Islas Secas resort, available starting in December.

To take the private island experience to the next level this winter, head 20 miles off the Pacific coast of Panama to Islas Secas, a resort spread out over a privately owned, 14-island archipelago dotting the Gulf of Chiriquí. While the resort is currently closed in adherence with Covid-19-related restrictions, it’s planning to reopen in high style this December by offering the chance to buy-out the whole place, for rates starting a $18,000 a night. The resort will also be rolling out new private jet transfers from Panama City’s international airport which, when added to the host of included services and amenities, will help ensure a winter getaway that’s both memorable and the ultimate in social distancing.

Santa Elena, Costa Rica — Travel Cravings

Sweat it out. That’s right, just allow the last few months drip away. Let the anger, the fear, and the worry dissipate. It’s going to take time. There’s a lot to process. But you can finally relax. You’re standing around hot volcanic rocks in a dark sweat lodge. You don’t know the people around you. […]

I Went to Myanmar… So You Don’t Have To! — Andy’s World Journeys

Yes it’s another venture into a country that, as with most places in the world, you can’t get to right now. Myanmar is the current name for Burma, a South-East Asian country bordering Bangladesh and Thailand, not to mention China and India. In recent years Myanmar has gone from a place that was hard to get into and controlled by a hardline military dictatorship to an exciting new destination on the South-East Asian touring map. However, there certainly are still questions about the governing of Myanmar and especially its treatment of minorities.

Nevertheless, it’s up to you whether this will affect your choice to go to Myanmar and frankly right now you don’t have a choice anyways! But imagine you do… imagine in fact the year is 2015 and you are me, and step into the country known as Burma. I mean Myanmar.
